Launched today: the Google Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold: What to anticipate, where and when to watch, and more

Today's Made by Google event will see the introduction of Google's Pixel 9 series in addition to many hardware announcements from the firm. For the first time in eight years (since the debut of the Pixel series), the manufacturer of Android is hosting its hardware presentation ahead of the annual iPhone announcement. This year's introduction of the four new Pixel smartphones - the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro Fold XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold - represents another first.

When and where can I watch the launch event for Google's Pixel 9 series?

The Made by Google event will be broadcast live on the company's official YouTube channel, just like it did last year. We've included a direct streaming link below to save you the trouble and take you right to the launch event as soon as it begins.

What can we anticipate from today's Made by Google event?

1) Pixel 9:

According to rumours, the Pixel 9 will probably come in four colourways: pink, light grey, black, and porcelain, and it will probably feature a 6.3-inch display. The phone could have a glossy glass body and the same camera configuration as its predecessor. It might be powered by the new Tensor G4 chipset, which has up to 12GB of RAM.

It is anticipated that the Pixel 9 would retail for €899 in Europe and between $599 and $799 in the US.

2) Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL:

It is anticipated that the Tensor G4 SoC and 16GB of RAM would power the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 9 Pro XL may have a 4,942mAh battery, but the Pro model is anticipated to have a 4,558mAh battery.

The 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB versions of the Pixel 9 Pro may cost £1,099, £1,199, and £1,329, respectively.

3) Pixel 9 Pro Fold:

It is anticipated that the Pixel 9 Pro Fold will have an 8-inch inner display and a 6.4-inch cover display. It is anticipated that the Pixel Fold's replacement would have three cameras on its back: a 10.8MP telephoto, a 10.5MP ultra-wide angle, and a 48MP main. It is anticipated that the front would include a 10MP camera for taking selfies and video calls.

4) Pixel Watch 3:

It has been confirmed by many rumours that Google intends to introduce the Pixel Watch 3 during the event on August 13. Expected specifications for the watch include a proprietary CPU and the Snapdragon W5 chip, which are comparable to those of its predecessor. There will probably be two sizes for the watch: 41mm and 45mm.

The largest modifications are probably going to be to the display; according to speculations, the Pixel Watch 3 will have 4.5mm bezels instead of the 5.5mm bezels on its predecessor. In the meanwhile, it is anticipated that the Watch 3 will peak at 2,000 nits, as opposed to the Watch 2's 1,000 nits.
